OUR MISSION
JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

Since its founding in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes, JDRF has awarded more than one billion dollars in diabetes research, including more than $98 million in FY2005. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education. In FY2005, the Foundation funded 500 centers, grants and fellowships in 19 countries.

OUR GOALS
At JDRF, Staff and Volunteers work together in order to:

  •     accelerate Research with evidence of dramatic progress;
  •     achieve Budget of 7% growth while containing expenses;
  •     be recognized as a donor centric organization; and
  •     consistantly perform at a high level, with more people, who are more involved, working more efficiently.

The Colorado Springs Branch of JDRF is a branch of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. The Rocky Mountain Chapter oversees all fundraising events and operations for the areas of Colorado, Wyoming and Eastern Montana.
